Justin Weitzman joined Kishner Miller Himes in August 2016. He brought to the firm extensive experience as a litigator with insurance defense and labor and employment law firms in the New York City area. Mr. Weitzman concentrates his practice on civil litigation. He has handled numerous cases from inception to completion.
Mr. Weitzman practices in diverse litigation areas, mainly involving: complex commercial litigation, including partnership disputes and contract disputes; significant employment-related disputes, such as claims of workplace discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, breach of restrictive covenants, and breach of employment agreements; complicated tort cases arising from products liability, premises liability, general liability, and construction site defects; and difficult insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Weitzman has represented clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Weitzman’s practice at Kishner Miller Himes has expanded to include real estate litigation, particularly construction defects cases, breach of sale/lease agreements, mortgage and lien foreclosure actions, land use issues and broker fee disputes.
Mr. Weitzman has drafted and argued motions, taken and defended depositions, and negotiated settlements in matters pending in both state and federal courts, as well as before various administrative tribunals and government agencies. While in law school, Mr. Weitzman clerked in the hearings and legal units for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Justin is also an avid Baltimore sports fan of both the Ravens and Orioles. In his spare time, he enjoys comedy shows, exercise and exploring every restaurant New York City has to offer.
